We ran a farmhand F-11A on our 460 for 10 years ago all the way up to last year and the only issue we had with it was the tilt cylinders always leaked. Ours had galvanized pipe on it.
Jan 22, 2011 I'm building a 1/16 scale farmhand f-10 loader for a Farmall M and need some pictures of the mounts of how it mounts to the tractor. Anybody have any? Would be greatly appreciated, send to my email address jw1980sd@bis.midco.net thanks.

What tractor? Those loaders went on many different tractors.There were about just as many mountings.

Mine just has some long bolts with a 'T' shaped end welded onto them to clamp the uprights to the axle housings. I've tightened the heck out of the bolts but it still seems like things are kinda loose..loader works good though, maybe that's how these are supposed to be???? Looking forward to other opinions..

There some little 'wedge things'that help hold things 'tight'.They vary from model to model.Lot of loaders get transplanted to different tractors.Those little 'wedges' are often lost.Leaveing only the 'clamp' around the axle.

The 'tee' bolts that came with mine were kind of beat up. Kind of looked like the previous owner had allowed them to loosen up and then used the loader for a long time with those bolts loose. I had to heat them with a torch and straighten them out, and then had to use a thread cutting die to not only straighten up the existing threads, but also to extend the threads further down the bolt. As it was, the nut would not go far enough to tighten up the mounting bracket before it reached the end of the threads. Of course the Tee bolt sets on top of the axle housing. I used grade 8 threaded rod and made my own bolts that go under the axle housing.

Any chance you would have a picture or a link to a picture of the 'little wedge things'? There's none on my loader that I can see, would be interested to know if there's something that I should put on to make it better.. Rusty, cutting more threads is a good plan..the usual 'fix' in that situation is normally just a stack of flat washers haha.

Ron, I installed the F11 on my 1940 M. I bought the loader from a guy who had it on a 450. When I first began hanging that loader on the M, I realized just how heavy it was, and I knew all of the mounting hardware would need to be TIGHT, or there would eventually be trouble. I've done the 'stack of washers' thing, but I did NOT want to take that shortcut on this project.
